God of War: Ragnarok has faced delays, in part due to health complications from Christopher Judge who plays Kratos, and in part due to the global COVID-19 pandemic which affected the development of several titles. However, after a long wait, Santa Monica has assured gamers that they can expect the final part of Kratos’ Norse adventures in 2022, though a precise release date has yet to be announced. Fortunately, if the accumulating rumors and leaks are anything to go by, gamers will not have to wait much longer to find out God of War: Ragnarok’s release date....

God of War was an instant hit when it was first released, reinventing the story of Kratos for a new generation and subsequently scoring many game awards. A sequel to the God of War franchise has long been rumored but not officially confirmed. Santa Monica Studios’ focus has always been on the God of War games and it seems inevitable after the success of the latest iteration that a sequel would be in the works....

God of War began as a series in 2005 and brought Kratos into conflict with a number of Greek gods. Throughout this era of the franchise players were able to meet and often battle against major figures in the mythological hierarchy. This era transitioned in 2018 to a more Norse focus. Both mythological systems contain symbols and designs such as runes and letters that are relatively recognizable to this day....

The 2018 God of War soft reboot was a rousing success for Sony and PlayStation. The game reinvented the old hack-and-slash franchise into a new narrative-driven action RPG form. The game’s epic journey was largely praised, citing its excellent combat and emotional tale of a father and son coming to terms with one another. A month ago, God of War was technically playable on PC via the PlayStation Now program, however, a true PC port of God of War will bring with it many advantages....

While in previous games Kratos has relied heavily on the Blades of Chaos, the weapons given to him by the Greek Gods, in the new God of War Kratos is seen wielding a single axe. The axe is more akin to what we have seen in games involving Viking protagonists, and although it is very clearly magical - it glows at various points in the footage we’ve seen thus far - it is certainly much less visually striking than the Blades....

Cory Barlog recently took to his Twitter account to let his followers know that he purchased an Xbox Series X in anticipation of Halo Infinite. The unit itself was still in its original packaging and Barlog didn’t do an unboxing video. Barlog didn’t specify whether he’s looking forward to Halo Infinite’s story or the multiplayer modes more, but it’s clear that he’s eagerly awaiting the 2021 release.
