The Witches Cave, much like God of War’s other puzzles or treasures, is located in Midgard. Near the Lake of the Nine, the cave is filled with remarkable treasure that serves to make Kratos more prepared for the rest of his travels in-game.

Witch’s Cave Treasure Guide
Upon entering the Witch’s Cave, Atreus will be able to blow up the wall of red sap to expose an elevator. This will take players to another wall that Atreus will need to destroy, exposing a long hall. There will be enemies that players will have to contend with, and once they have been disposed of, players should go down the hall and turn right. There they will find a Legendary chest which holds a Muspelheim cipher… only one of the many items in the Witch’s Cave that will help players through their adventures, especially if they are going to play through modded content in God of War.
The other items in the Witch’s Cave are the Nornir Chest, the Turtle’s Tribute treasure map, and yet another Legendary chest. These things can easily be found by continuing through the Witch’s Cave, save for the Nornir chest. In order to open it, players will need to find all the seals that can unlock it.
Nornir Chest Seal Locations
The first is just to the right of the first Legendary chest. The second is a bit farther away. Players will need to go back to the elevator and turn right. This is where the abilities of Atreus in God of War shine. Following that passage, Atreus will have the opportunity to form two light bridges. At the end of them, there will a crystal dispensing root. Players should take a crystal, bring it back to a coffin at the start of the bridges, and have Atreus shoot it. This will expose an area to the right of the coffin, where players will find the second Nornir seal.
Once players have the second seal, they will need to grab another crystal, run past the central Nornir chest, and then up the ramp beyond where they will see another sap wall. By blowing it up, they will expose an opening that they can enter. This opening will lead them to a room with a wooden chest, the Turtle’s Tribute treasure chest, and the third Nornir seal. From there, players can return and open the chest to receive the Horn of Blood Mead. The process requires only dedication rather than any of God of War’s valuable perks.
The Witch’s Cave has more available items than many other areas in God of War. Fortunately, it isn’t as dangerous as it is complicated. Similar to finding areas like The Hive, it only requires a little of focus. And, for dedicated God of War fans, that certainly isn’t a problem.
God of War is available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
