To trigger the Fit for a King Favor in God of War Ragnarok, players need to find any of the Berserker Gravestones and activate them. This can only be done after the Main Quest: The Word of Fate, as Kratos will acquire the Inert Hilt of Skofnung which can activate the Gravestones. Completing the Favor rewards a new Armor Set, Weapons Attachments, Upgrade Materials, and a lot of XP for both Kratos and Freya.

Where To Find All Berserker Souls In God Of War Ragnarok
To find all Berserker Souls in God of War Ragnarok, players must complete the game since some Gravestones are only accessible after Ragnarok. There are 12 Berserker Souls to be found in nine Gravestones. Fighting some of these will be challenging since some will have dual bosses. To ease the fight, players should keep an eye on the boss’s health color as it reveals the required gear level:
Green: Boss has a lower gear level than Kratos. Yellow: Boss has the same gear level as Kratos. Orange: Kratos has a lower gear level than the boss. Purple: Kratos’s gear is two levels lower than the boss’s. Red: The boss is extremely dangerous and will one-shot Kratos.
Upgrading the gear level and Weapons will help in the long run, especially with the final boss. As for the location of all 12 Berserker Souls, here’s an overview of each of them.
Bodvar The Fierce And Starolfr The Troublesome In Svartalfheim
The Gravestone is found northwest of The Applecore Mystic Gateway in God of War Ragnarok. This will be a dual boss, so here are a few tips:
Bodvar will fight with two shields and Starolfr will wield two swords. Bodvar is a much tougher opponent, so keep an eye on the boss. Be careful as Starolfr will sometime cling to a wall and throw knives. Both bosses have aggressive close-range attacks that are mostly unblockable. Best method to beat them is to take care of the weaker boss first, Starolfr, then fully focus on Bodvar.
Hardrefill The Callous In Svartalfheim
Head south from the Nidavellir Beach Mystic Gateway in God of War Ragnarok to reach the Berserker Gravestone. Hardrefill is not as intimidating as the other bosses, but try to keep a few things in mind:
Most of his close-ranged attacks are parryable or blockable. Once he leaps into the air and a green circle appears where players are standing, that’s his deadly leap attack that causes a lot of damage. To avoid it, roll out of the green circle one second after Hardrefill leaps into the air. At mid-health, he will become more aggressive and will sometimes perform his leaping attack three to four times in a row. Consider a Resurrection Stone as there will be no health crystals in the boss fight.
Beigadr The Feared In Svartalfheim
Beigadr the Feared’s Gravestone can be found east of the Alberich Island Mystic Gateway. This boss uses lightning attacks so here are a few tricks to beat him:
Most of his attacks are unblockable, so focus on dodging until the right moment arises. When Beigadr throws lightning balls or fills the area with lightning energy, make sure to time the dodge perfectly to avoid any damage. Be careful of the leaping attacks. This fight won’t provide any health crystals, so keep a close eye on the HP bar. Try long-range attacks by throwing either the Leviathan Axe in God of War Ragnarok or the Spear.

Svipdagr The Cold And Sisters Of Illska In Alfheim
There will be three bosses waiting east of The Canyons Mystic Gateway. Although they are three, there will be only two health bars as the sisters share the same HP. Svipdgar will wield two axes while one sister uses ice and the other uses fire. To defeat all of them quickly, pay attention to the following tips:
Both the sisters and Svipdgar will inflict heavy damage once they perform a leap attack. As the sisters are more annoying and share the same health, it’s better to take care of them first. They mostly use ranged attacks, so defeat them to focus on the remaining boss. Players can always use their Runic attacks in God of War Ragnarok and Spartan Rage to quickly kill the Illska Sisters. Svipdgar will more likely use close-range attacks and will be easier to fight once the sisters are gone.

Hjalti The Stolid In Alfheim
Proceed to The Hjarta Mystic Gateway and go southwest to find the Berserker Gravestone. To defeat Hjalti the Solid:
Stay close to her and dodge her incoming attacks. Staying away from her results in a ranged shield strike that causes heavy damage, which is why it’s important to stay close and interrupt this attack. All her long-ranged attacks are impossible to parry or block. She’s a relatively easy boss once players stick close to her.
Hvitserkr The Bold In Vanaheim
Fast travel to the Cliffside Ruins Mystic Gateway and go northwest. Hvitserkr the Bold inflicts poison damage, here are a few tips players can follow to defeat him:
The boss will keep on summoning Shadows and Nightmares enemies. Don’t get overwhelmed by focusing on the smaller enemies since they’ll keep on respawning. Instead, focus on the boss himself by using all available Runic attacks and Spartan Rage to deal heavy damage. Hvitserkr has a dangerous move where he hurls four shots of poison Kratos’s way, so make sure to roll away. Try using the Spear in God of War Ragnarok or the Leviathan Axe to cause some damage from afar.
Haklangr The Bearded In Vanaheim
The Berserker Gravestone can be immediately seen as soon as players teleport to The Skinholes Mystic Gateway. Here are a few tips on how to defeat Haklangr the Bearded:
The boss will shield his health from time to time. Players can remove it by attacking him with the opposite weapon or using the Draupnir Spear in God of War Ragnarok as it works on all elemental shields. Upon doing a leaping attack, he’ll immediately start a close-range combo so be careful. He has a wide-range attack where he raises the hammer for a few seconds before slamming it down marking a very big area. Kratos will have to roll two to three times to avoid it. Around mid-health he starts getting more aggressive and will prolong his attacks.

Skjothendi The Unerring In Niflheim
Skjothendi the Unerring is found west of the Mist Fields Mystic Gateway. It may be the toughest boss out of all Berserkers as Skjothendi the Unerring uses Bifrost and is very agile. Here are a few tips and tricks to beat her:
Try equipping the Remedy of the Bifrost and Celestial Panacea Amulet Enchantments in God of War Ragnarok if available. Draupnir Spear’s ability, Elemental Siphon II, is also highly recommended as holding R2 Kratos receives resistance to Bifrost for a short period of time. Every attack causes Bifrost but by far the most dangerous one is the attack that inflicts Bifrost on Kratos’s whole HP bar. It can be stopped if players manage to throw a Spear or an Axe at the right moment to interrupt the boss. Skjothendi can move fairly quickly and teleport anywhere in the arena with ease, forcing players into a close-range battle.
Fraekni The Zealous In Midgard
From the Lake of Nine Mystic Gateway, head east to find the Berserker Gravestone. Here are a few tips to beat Fraekni the Zealous:
The boss has a very predictable attack pattern When the boss is performing a ranged attack, dodge all of them then attack. Close-range attacks can be blocked or parried, except for one marked by red circles. At mid-health, Fraekni will become more aggressive and will prolong the combos. Don’t get greedy and only attack after the combo is done.
King Hrolf In Midgard
Upon defeating all 12 bosses, go to the King’s Grave Mystic Gateway in Midgard and head to the middle of the arena where King Hrolf’s Gravestone will be. This is a very difficult boss as he can use all previous Berserker’s combos to fight. Therefore, here are a few tricks on how to beat him:
Equipping gear level nine is highly recommended as he inflicts heavy damage. Craft a Resurrection Stone to revive Kratos and get another chance. Try to max out the levels of any ability or Runic attack in God of War Ragnarok to increase the dealt damage. King Hrolf will start by swinging his hammer multiple times and smashing it multiple times, both can be avoided by dodging. The King will release bursts of energy from time to time. Players can either parry it, roll away, or get behind him and throw multiple spears at him until the stacks are full. His range attacks are numerous as it combines all previous Berserker’s combos. For example, when in the air, a Bifrost energy will be unleashed similar to Skjothendi. He will do a frost attack which marks three zones in the arena that players must avoid. A slow-moving orb will be thrown occasionally, and it’s best to attack or before continuing to fight the boss. At half health, he starts shielding his HP bar and players have to use the opposite element.
God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
