When it comes to upgrading the power of Kratos in God of War: Ragnarok, players will need to know the best Draupnir Spear handles, which ones are best utilized for the art of war, and those that can handle the prophecy of Ragnarok, and the full might of the Aesir.

8 Mighty Olympic Sauroter

“With each shattered Spear; the wielder of this sauroter grows only more relentless.” With the Detonator’s Might perk, plays can detonate their thrown spears with a Moderate Luck chance to increase their Strength and Stagger Resistance, a great bonus for those that play tactically.

The only problem with this perk is that it relies on players throwing their spears, whereas some may prefer to simply slash and thrust their way through a fight. This perk means that they’ll have to use more ranged attacks than they may initially like.

7 Hind Of Weightless Recovery

“A lightweight Hind that draws power from the chaos of the storm”. Hind of Weightless Recovery has the Maelstrom Refresh perk, which will have players granted a Blessing of Cooldown based on their stats in Luck, and only the Maelstrom gauge is fully charged. Thor wouldn’t stand a chance with this.

The downside of this Hind is the fact that keeping the gauge full is hard, as one hit Kratos and it depletes. However, cooldowns allow for runic attacks in God of War: Ragnarok to be recharged, making the fight more in Kratos’ favor.

6 Lion’s Roar Sauroter

“A sauroter that is said to rip through air with the roar of a lion.” Assisted by the Stunning Blast perk, the Lion’s Roar Sauroter will allow players to have a greatly increased damage to Stun from the Gale Force skill, which is activated by holding L2 + R2 at the same time.

Not only is Stun great for building up a Stun grab, but the focus of this sauroter is Defense, which can grow well past 40 points, and keep Kratos and his defense at the top of its game.

5 Hind Of The Four Winds

“With this Hind, one’s strongest attacks can slice through the air.” Thanks to the Slicing Fresh perk, players will be able to create a Concussive Wave at the end of their R2 Spear combo. This wave can create Stun, and stagger enemies.

The Hind of the Four Winds also focuses its stats on Strength and Defense, which are 2 great primary stats to stay invested in to give Kratos the best weapon in God of War: RagnarokNorse Mythology.

4 Charging Assault Sauroter

“A spear sauroter for the fighter who likes to charge into battle.” Kratos does seem to love charging into a rageful fight, and with the Fearless Sprinter perk, he can do just that with even less fear than he already has.

This perk allows Kratos to apply more Stun during his Hoplite Lunge and Phalanx Breaker skills, which are achieved through Sprint + R1/R2. It also has a chance for Moderate Luck chance for Unstoppable Aura, granting invincibility.

3 Hind Of Deadly Vitality

“A Hind that belonged to a warrior who once faced impossible odds. It’s said the Hind took a piece of every enemy’s soul on that day what became of the warrior is unknown.” For every successful kill with this Spear, players could be granted a Health Burst thanks to the Slayer’s Health Burst perk attached to the handle.

Players will need a moderate amount of Luck for the Health Burst, but luckily the Hind of Deadly Vitality focuses on Luck, Cooldown and Defense. The skill in Luck is appreciated thanks to it being the focus of the Perk.

2 Warrior’s Echo Sauroter

“A weapon is only as good as the warrior who wields it.” A truer weapon description has never been said, as the warrior who wields the Draupnir Spear is none other than the God Killer, Kratos, son of Zeus. Breaker of fate. The Warrior’s Echo Sauroter features the Sonic Piercer perk, which allows Kratos to deal bonus damage and build bonus Maelstrom skill charges against Sonic-afflicted enemies.

This great Spear attachment in God of War: Ragnarok also focuses on Strength, Defense and Runic, meaning that the more they upgrade it, the more powerful it will become, thanks to its stats and perk.

1 Hind Of The Nine Realms

“A Hind so powerful that it is said to slow time itself.” Two highly important mechanics in God of War: Ragnarok is the L1 + Triangle ability, and Realm Shifts. With the Momentous Shift perk, players will be able to harness both to their fullest potential.

Players can activate Violent Maelstrom through damage build-up, to then activate it with a Realm Shift. This means that the Draupnir Spear will do more damage, and all whilst enemies are frozen in time and shot with arrows from Atreus.
