The biggest reasons for God of War Ragnarok’s tremendous success are its engaging gameplay and jaw-dropping combat. Gamers can engage in nail-biting fights with many brutal bosses in God of War Ragnarok, like Thor, Gna, Odin, Nidhogg, Olaf Nautson, and Ormstunga. These foes are usually humanoid and wield powerful weapons that can wreak havoc in a one-on-one fight with Kratos. Fiske is one of the lesser-known bosses from God of War Ragnarok, but he is also one of the most fearsome. Many players struggle in this boss fight, but one skilled God of War Ragnarok player defeated Fiske using bare fists and the shield.

Reddit user Almost_PerfectDude uploaded a video on the God of War subreddit showing their intense fight with Fiske. The video shows the player fighting the formidable God of War Ragnarok boss with only punches to inflict damage and the shield for protection. Throughout the fight, Almost_PerfectDude carefully avoids and parries oncoming assaults from Fiske while hitting him with Kratos’ bare fists. However, Fiske manages to connect one attack, causing Kratos’ health to fall dramatically.
At this moment, Almost_PerfectDude uses the Spartan Rage feature as a last resort to achieve victory in the God of War Ragnarok boss fight. Spartan Rage helps them shift the tide back in their favor, and they ultimately kill Fiske after punching him a few more times. Besides using only punches to defeat Fiske, another surprising thing about Almost_PerfectDude’s victory is they are at Level 1 in God of War Ragnarok and have used no upgrades. Meanwhile, many God of War Ragnarok players have a tough time defeating this boss due to his devastating attacks and aggressive nature.
Fiske is one of the mandatory bosses that players must defeat to progress in the main story of God of War Ragnarok. He is found near The Abandoned Village and poses a tough challenge, thanks to his Bifrost Scythe, which has incredible range. Moreover, the Scythe inflicts Bifrost damage that freezes a portion of Kratos’ health bar, which is removed after getting hit again.
God of War Ragnarok is available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
