Police say the shooting led to the seizure of marijuana, cash and possibly a stolen gun. The incident stemmed from a fight involving four or five people in Scales 925, a restaurant owned by rapper T.I. in downtown Atlanta.

Rice is the son of former NBA star Glen Rice. The 24-year-old, who played college ball at Georgia Tech, is currently listed as a member of Rio Grande Valley in the NBA Developmental League. He played a total of 16 games from 2013-15 with the Wizards.
Rice faces charges of reckless conduct and marijuana possession. The report said he was treated at Grady Hospital but did not list his condition.
